Are you sick and tired of reading articles that promise the world... yet deliver something FAR less when you read them? Have you almost given up completely on the idea of "getting rich" online? First, the key to earning BIG bucks online, is NOT in selling affiliate products, or in building AdSense oriented sites, or creating tons and tons of informational products, or even in wasting your days on Facebook and Twitter.
The recipe for REAL success online is actually super simple, and it only requires that you create MORE long term value for your customers and clients than the money they pay you to make it happen.
And it requires that you shift a little bit your thinking... from a sales oriented approach, to a SERVICE oriented one.
Let me give you a quick example -
Most everyone who has spent a WEEK "studying" the online marketing landscape understands the importance of building a list, what it means, and generally how to implement it. (Even if you've never done it... you still know what it "is", right?).
Yet...
In the "real world" this concept, or at least how to implement it, is as foreign as prehistoric language for most professionals.
Doctors, lawyers, accountants, financial experts, builders, contractors and wellness professionals who are earning BIG 6 figure salaries in the real world, but who want to migrate their marketing online have NO idea how to incorporate these ideas into their brand or business (and yet... they NEED to, if they want to survive in the future).
I worked with a woman a few weeks ago who charges $375 an HOUR to implement a direct response email marketing campaign for her clients. And she gets it. Do you know what she does? She sets them up with an AWeber account, helps them write a few messages, puts a form on a landing page and calls THAT a "campaign"! (and gets to bill a few thousand dollars for work many of us regularly do in a few hours, while watching "Sports-center" in the background).
I kept on thinking to myself....she's paying ME for help...and yet I don't charge $375 an hour to my clients like her. What's wrong with this picture?
As an online marketer in "training", If you can take the tasks that you ordinarily do for yourself, EVEN if you aren't making any money with them yet (which is 99% of the population) you can parlay that PASSION into profit by shifting your focus to helping those who know much LESS than you (which is most of them).
You can build blogs, websites and social media marketing campaigns
You can create content
You can help businesses build a list
You can help with the strategy, structure and sequence that every online business NEEDS to succeed.
You can write and distribute articles (like this)
You can help them grow their SEO
You can literally put together a whole compendium of easy to implement services that may COST your client a few thousand dollars, but offer them massive value, and pay YOU handsomely for your time. (A $1000 website and content marketing package is a great deal for most professionals, and literally... if you know what your doing, can be put together in 7-10 hours of actual "work").
The truth is, you can sell yourself as a service... and grow a REAL business, rather than chasing your tail trying to sell affiliate products, or following gimmicks, gadgets and gurus who will NEVER make you rich (while this approach, very well may).
I challenge you to start thinking differently about yourself, what you know, and how you channel that into a viable, valuable and enduring SERVICE oriented business that converts like crazy (because if you are good at what you do... which many of you are, it WILL).
