Time Management And Productivity For Internet Marketers - Schedule Time To Accomplish Your Tasks

Are you struggling with not having enough time to do everything you need to do as an online entrepreneur? If you are not as productive as you know you can be, there are a few simple tips that will change everything in your life and in your business.

In my previous life as a classroom teacher and real estate appraiser, time management was not much of an issue. I knew when and where I had to be each day, and as I became more experienced in both of these careers I gradually became more productive. Each morning I would drive to my school at the exact same time. Then I would work in my room until the children arrived. After school I would finish my work, attend a meeting, and then go on to my first real estate appointment. This remained the same for many years.

That all changed when I decided to become an online entrepreneur in 2006. Overnight I had to find time to blog, write articles and other content, create information products, write sales letters, choose the best affiliate products to promote, and so much more. The learning curve was also steep, making my productivity stay at a crawl during those first couple of years.

The solution was for me to create a schedule for myself and a calendar to remind me of what had to be done each day. This was a desk calendar written in pencil to begin with, but over time it has evolved into a more sophisticated system. The results have been excellent, and now even I am amazed at how much I am able to accomplish in just a few hours.

I schedule three hours each morning for me to write articles and blog posts. I may also work on a short report or an eBook during this time. In the afternoon I work for an additional two to three hours. During this time I host webinars and teleseminars, teach online courses, and do research to see what else is happening in my industry. At night I spend one hour on social media and another hour watching webinars to get the training I need. On the weekends I plan to read books on business and to connect with other people in my business.

I highly recommend that you set up a similar system for yourself so that you can have the best chance of success in your online business. Schedule time to do what you need to do and to continue learning. Time management and productivity can definitely increase your bottom line.

Remember that the reason to start an Internet business is to give you the time and financial freedom to live the life you choose.
